VEON has publishsed Group Sustainability Report
VEON Group (HQ in Amsterdam) has published its annual Sustainability Report, which presents the Group progress and positive impact on the communities in countries of its presence.
Particularly, the Report outlines the main general economic results, compliance and ethics, environmental activities and social contributions made by the operating companies.
As a large international company, VEON has committed to working towards contributing to four basic goals of United Nations sustainable development (UN Sustainable Development Goals), including quality education (digital literacy), industry and innovation (development of Startup ecosystem).
Armenia has been presented in the Report particularly with its “Digital opportunities for schoolchildren” programme aimed at fostering digital skills and literacy, implemented in 2019 in colaboration with Child Development Foundation. Within the scope of the programme aided by the leading experts of the country, 100 schoolchildren from four Armenian provinces have learnt using different digital tools to organize their daily learning more efficiently.

Recap: In line with the Group policy, Beeline Armenia has implemented digital literacy projects together with Tumo Center and Child Development Foundation, as well as Startup support programmes, such as Sevan Startup Summit in collaboration with ‘”Startup Armenia Foundation”, Beeline Startup Incubator together with Business Angels Network of Armenia (BANA) and Dada Science Summer School jointly with American University of Armenia.
